Upon entering Le Palais d’léna in the 16th arrondissement, the location of Miu Miu’s Fall-Winter 2022 collection, it was immediately apparent that the Miu Miu skirt set is undoubtedly the look of the season (whether you like it or not). For the latter, the sight inside the venue was quite compelling that it might be time to hop on the trend — or sealed the deal to opt-out altogether.
Basically, the Miu Miu skirt set is this season’s Jacquemus Chiquito bag — everyone has it. Whether dressed by PR for the show or one of the lucky few to get their hands on it before it sold out, the massive atrium was filled with the viral Y2K look. We’ve seen Miu Miu’s mini skirt set grace the cover of magazines, editorials, and our favorite celebrity style icons over the past few months. But what was most exciting about seeing it at the Fall-Winter 2022 show, was observing how guests applied their personal style to the look, with attendees letting their creativity run free.
Gals and guys alike were spotted wearing the pieces (both together as a set and as separates). We counted roughly 12 showgoers giving it a spin – and it’s worth noting the weather was a chilly 36 degrees in Paris. Some attendees opted for the ankle-length skirt version that debuted in the collection or covered up with an oversized trench.
On the runway, Miuccia Prada introduced an additional range of viral midriff-bearing ultra mini skirt sets that are giving us tenniscore vibes, meanwhile other styles in denim may have an even shorter hem than the current must-have khaki look. Following in the footsteps of the Spring-Summer 2022 collection, it’s only a matter of months before these new styles takeover.
