Ever since Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s lavish Miami wedding, rumors have been kicking around about the state of Peltz’s relationship with her new mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham.

These were started, much like this week’s glorious gossip about a “Prince of Pegging” (please look this up if you’re uninformed), by gossip Instagram account, @DeuxMoi, which posted numerous “blind items” alleging a feud between the two women in the weeks following the wedding. One anonymous submission even alleged Peltz left her reception in tears at one point due to a speech given by one of the Beckham’s friends that failed to mention her at all.

Until now, this was mostly social media discussion — no actual reports on the matter had made the press. But today, a source spoke to Page Six, and they did not hold back.

The outlet reports there is a “full-on cold war” between Beckham and Peltz, which began prior to the wedding day. They can’t stand each other and don’t talk. The build-up to the wedding was horrendous,” the source said.

According to them, the issue is to do with the classic bride and mother-in-law relationship turning sour in the lead-up to the wedding — something we’ve seen on one too many movies, but none of which are as juicy as the stakes in this real-life drama.

Apparently, Peltz didn’t want Beckham “to be any part of the planning, and she wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal.”

This led to “non-stop petty drama,” which has caused tension between the eldest Beckham son and his parents, which they say only worsened when he posted his new wife’s Tatler magazine cover which had the headline, “The New Mrs. Beckham.”

“They haven’t spoken to him much in the last few months,” the source said, adding that Nicola wasn’t pleased with all the attention her future mother-in-law was getting around her wedding day.

Of course, neither party has responded to the claims, and despite many noticing the way Beckham was sharing wedding photos — with very little mention of Peltz — a few months ago, the pair did have a positive relationship in the past. When her son got engaged to Peltz, Beckham celebrated on Instagram by writing, “The MOST exciting news!! We could not be happier that @brooklynbeckham and @nicolaannepeltz are getting married! Wishing you so much love and a lifetime of happiness 🙏🏻We all love you both so much x”

Peltz also posted a message to Beckham for her birthday last year calling the former Spice Girl a role model and saying she loves her “so much.”
