The moment we’ve all been waiting for is almost here. We’ve seen the on-set pictures and glimpses of Gaga’s perfectly coifed hairdo—and Max Mara dress—and now we get to see her fully realized as the notorious, Patrizia Reggiani. The character posters for House of Gucci were released today—along with a dedicated IG account—and they give us a glimpse into the highly anticipated Ridley Scott, directed and co-produced, MGM drama. The film, based on the 2001 book “The House Of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed” by Sara Gay Forden, stars Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani and Adam Driver as Gucci heir Maurizio Gucci and is set to be released in the U.S. on November 24. Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons and Jared Leto round out the stellar—Academy Award winning and nominated–cast. I mean, with a cast like this, it’s definitely giving Oscar vibes.

The movie spotlights the scandalous story of how Italian socialite, Patrizia Reggiani (Gaga) the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci (Driver), plotted with her friend, Pina Auriemma (played by Salma Hayek) to murder her husband, the grandson of renowned fashion designer Guccio Gucci (say that five times back to back). Set in the 90’s amongst a stylish Milanese backdrop, this film is equal parts scandal, style (we can’t wait to see the wardrobing), fashion history and all the drama. We’ve seen Gaga method acting, channeling the the essence of the Italian socialite through her wardrobe so we expect a stellar method interpretation of the “Black Widow”(Reggiani). With the many behind the scenes set pictures—like the image of Gaga and Driver in the Alps, with Gaga dripping in gold chains and a white fur Russian cossack hat—the anticipation for this film is off the charts. We’re coming for the elite cast and sordid drama and staying for the costumes, Italian style and Jared Leto’s impressive transformation as Paolo Gucci—I mean we barely recognized him.
