Even Casablanca’s Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) and Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman), both in matching masks, clinked glasses, as Blaine delivered his now infamous line: “Here’s looking at you kid.” Harley Quinn, the Joker, and Harry Potter, among others, made masked cameos as well.

Nearly a year into a global pandemic that has already claimed the lives of over 2 million people, the 30-second PSA, masterminded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and WarnerMedia, was released in an effort to help convince people of the importance of wearing a mask, which has been proven to reduce the risk of infection with the coronavirus. Of course, masks are a lifesaving measure and not a mere fashion accessory, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still have some fun with them.

So, whether you opt for a simple cotton iteration or one printed with stars à la Wonder Woman—or both (the CDC is now recommending double masking)—the message is loud and clear: mask up. “Let’s get back to doing our favorite things,” the ad notes, “whatever that might be.”
