This year, we’ve seen models wearing crocs off-duty, actresses sporting Uggs on the red carpet, and Yeezy slides topping the Lyst charts for the hottest product of Q2. It seems shoes keep getting more casual.
Thanks to work from home, gone are the days of high stilettos (at least for now.) And before we grab our 4-inch heels and head back out on the town, a transition period of comfy footwear is in order. The latest brand getting in on the mix of cozy shoes is streetwear brand Stussy. The brand has unveiled a new Boston Clog with cult German footwear brand Birkenstock. The collaboration comes after the two brands’ successful corduroy iteration last year, which also focused on the classic Boston silhouette.
The Stussy x Birkenstock collaboration reintroduces the Boston clog in three new soft-toned colorways: Bone, Caramel, and Dusty Pink. Each clog comes in smooth suede, perfect for the chilly months quickly approaching. The Stussy logo is subtly sketched onto one side, while the Birkenstock logo is embossed on the other.
Stussy x Birkenstock Boston clogs aren’t your mom’s clogs, or maybe they are? (I can definitely see mine in these.) That’s the fun part of reviving early-decade trends. Either way, what we do know is that clogs are more “in” than ever before, and now is the time to snag yourself a pair.
