Did you know? Consumption of a specific beneficial fruit could noticeably improve eyesight! And no, this isn’t a joke, but a fact proven by science.

A miracle fruit

As reported by media outlet Closer, a study conducted in Singapore suggests that regular consumption of grapes can improve your vision! This antioxidant-rich fruit, which is readily available in all supermarkets, may counter declining eyesight primarily caused by “oxidative stress.”

Here’s the scoop: The body sometimes lacks an adequate amount of antioxidants to prevent vision deterioration. The study revealed that among the participants, those who ate grapes showed a significant increase in indicators of good eye health in terms of macular pigment optical density, plasma antioxidants, and phenolic content compared to those in the placebo group. Conversely, those who didn’t consume any grapes showed a notable increase in glycation, a harmful element of the aging process.

To arrive at this result, researchers in Singapore studied data from 34 participants. One group consumed a cup and a half of grapes daily, and the other group had a placebo, over a duration of 16 weeks.

A fruit with multiple benefits

Grapes don’t just potentially improve eyesight, but they’re also heralded for providing an array of other health advantages. They are high in Vitamin C and regular consumption can improve mood, thanks to their vitamin B6 content. Grapes also reinforce the immune system and increase skin elasticity due to their high resveratrol and water content, potentially reducing the signs of skin aging. In a nutshell, this is one powerful ally you can rely on!
