Yes, it may be a vaxxed girl summer — the streets are calling and we’re ready to go out with our hands on our knees, shakin’ a*s, on our thot sh*t — but that doesn’t mean we don’t have time to be in touch with our emotions. Swedish-Persian songstress Snoh Aalegra is back to put us all in our feels with her new single and its accompanying visual. “LOST YOU” is the lead single off her highly anticipated third studio album, Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies. Produced by iconic hip-hop producer No I.D. (he’s responsible for hits like Drake’s Find Your Love,” Bow Wow’s 05′ hit “Let Me Hold You” and Kanye West’s “Heartless“), the new single finds Snoh reflecting on a former love. The moody alternative R&B singer is preparing to give us an era or aesthetics and looks, judging off the album cover to her upcoming album, which is set to be released July 9 and we are ready for it.

The “I Want You Around” singer took to her instagram to release the cover art to “LOST YOU” over the weekend (and um,we need the deets on the shades because we need ASAP).

The video finds Snoh, in various minimalistic interiors, reflecting on an old love that’s flame has since went out. Directed by Izabelle Wilson, the video is an expressive visual full of layered lighting, sickening ponytails — there’s a braided ponytail she wears that gives us Sade realness — and looks on looks on looks! Styled by Nazanin Shahnavaz, the fashions take on a character itself. One that stands out in particular we can’t seem to get out our minds is Snoh in this Mugler jacket (which makes sense as Snoh is a Casey Cadwallader muse and walked the Fall/Winter 21′ show), worn with a sparkling, embellished  pair of THOMASINE Gloves, channeling Michael Jackson, and a pair of Lorette Cole Duprat earrings.

But don’t take our word for it. Get into the visual for “LOST YOU” below:
