Spring is here and it’s one of my favorite times of the year. The city comes back to life and people are excited to get dressed again. Every year around this time, I find myself day dreaming (and hunting for) about the same thing: the perfect pair of heeled mules. We all know the reference of Carrie Bradshaw doing her signature run-walk through the streets of the West Village in a slinky dress and a fabulous pair of mules, it will forever be my springtime inspiration.

The slip-on style is easy and chic. As far as heels go, the mule is the most comfortable option. Personally, I like to opt for a 2.5-inch heel which sits in-between a kitten heel and a higher heel so you still get the lengthened look without forgoing comfort. So I can still do the Carrie Bradshaw run without breaking my neck.

A good mule is an everyday shoe that can be worn worn with jeans, ruffled dresses, mini, midi or maxi skirts… you get the picture. As a vintage lover, I spend my days hunting for vintage Manolo Blahniks and Jimmy Choos because I love the look. Recently, I found The Millennial Decorator on Instagram and it has a heavy selection of heels. The limited-item drops are chock full of Carrie Bradshaw-inspired mules from brands like CHANEL, Manolo Blahnik, Dior, Prada, the list goes on. They sell out quick so get ’em while they’re hot!

You don’t have to go deep in the fashion archives to get this look though—current-season shoes are just as fabulous. Below, shop some of the best heeled mules, just in time for spring.
