Spotted in New York City’s Upper West Side earlier today, Selena Gomez was photographed wearing three different winter coats—all vastly different styles. The songstress-actress was photographed while filming for the Hulu streaming series Only Murders in the Building—while New Yorkers braced freezing temperatures. So how did Gomez stay warm? The answer: clever, cozy layering techniques.
Tip 1: Don’t skip the scarf
Selena Gomez looked bang on trend while filming Only Murders in the Building earlier today in her chunky lug sole black lace-up boots, wide straight-leg trousers, and light brown fuzzy overcoat. The coziest—and arguably chic-est—part of her outfit, though, was her fluffy-looking scarf, which she wore high around her ears.
Tip 2: Wear more than one coat
Why settle for one winter coat when you can wear two? Selena Gomez wore an ankle-length furry robe coat on set at Only Murders in the Building and, in between takes, threw on a winter parka over.
This is not the first time we’ve seen this double-coat trick—stroll around Paris in the dead of winter, especially around men’s fashion week, and you’ll see the double-jacket hack everywhere you go. Think of it as one coat for the cool factor and a second (usually puffy) coat for the chill factor.
