Selena Gomez is officially 30! Or as the actress eloquently puts it, “30, nerdy and worthy.” Gomez hit the milestone birthday on July 22 but celebrated the event over the weekend with a two-day party surround by famous friends including Taylor Swift. In a fitting finale to the festivities, she attended a lavish affair dressed in the most beautiful Versace gown.
On Instagram the usually private celeb shared a glimpse of her evening which featured a rose-covered staircase, family, and an embellished baby pink chiffon gown finished with a sweeping train. The look was curated by celebrity stylist Kate Young — who also counts Margot Robbie and Sophie Turner as clients — and paired it with Briony Raymond New York 40-carat diamond earrings and Jimmy Choo shoes.
Her hair was slicked back into a high ponytail by hairstylist Marissa Marino, while her glam makeup look was courtesy of artist Hung Vanngo.
Gomez was surrounded by the likes of Kim Petras, Camilla Cabello, and Ava Max at the rose-themed party. She was also captured on Instagram Stories wearing a ’60s-inspired halter neck dress complete with a feathered hem.
On a more serious note, the Only Murders in the Building star took the opportunity to reflect on the milestone via social media. Alongside a portrait, Gomez wrote, “Though there are so many words to say I’ll simply leave it at this. My twenties were a journey through good, hard and beautiful moments that I will never forget. Each of them has shaped me into the person that I am today. I am someone who is still learning, but is more certain about what matters and what she wants. Someone who is grateful for every single gift and every single lesson along the way.”
The Rare Beauty founder continued, “After a few days of celebrating, my heart feels full, grateful and I can say that I’m starting to really like 30. Thank you SO much for being a part of my life, here’s to another decade! Love you all inside and out so much it hurts!”
