Two colorways, a camo pattern wrapped around a sculpted sole and a set of collectible charms. Crocs collaborations are not new, and neither is BAPE camo. Yet every time the two brands team up, lines form outside stores. Their latest drop, released October 3, proves the formula still works.
The Japanese streetwear label A Bathing Ape and Crocs have released a new version of the Echo Clog 2, covered in BAPE’s signature camouflage. It is the brands’ third collaboration in under two years.
What the New Pair Looks Like
The release comes in two colorways, one on a black base and one on a white base. Both are covered in BAPE’s Multi Camo, a multicolor version of its famous camouflage. According to Sole Retriever, the white pair features slime green, pink, blue, maroon, yellow and orange tones, while the black pair makes the blues and greys stand out more.
Small Ape Head logos are hidden inside the pattern, and additional BAPE branding sits on the footbed. The Japanese retailer Have a Good Holiday reports that the camo is enlarged and wrapped around the Echo Clog 2’s molded shape so the pattern flows continuously across the shoe.
Charms Included
The pair comes with limited-edition Jibbitz charms, the clip-on accessories that have become a big part of Crocs culture. This set includes a BAPE Bee, an Ape Head, a BAPE logo plate and an original symbol inspired by the Echo, which can be mixed, swapped or worn alone.
In Japan, each pair is priced at 16,500 yen. The release was available through BAPE stores and BAPE.com, as well as Crocs and select retailers, according to Sole Retriever.
Why the Echo Clog 2 Matters
The model choice is part of the story. Unlike the Classic Clog, with its familiar rounded shape, the Echo Clog 2 has a sculpted, futuristic silhouette, which Sneaker News contrasts with the Classic Clog used in the earliest collaborations. It feels closer to a sneaker than a garden shoe, which makes it a better canvas for streetwear.
A Collab That Keeps Coming Back
BAPE and Crocs first joined forces on the Classic Clog, a collection that drew long lines outside BAPE stores, according to Sneaker News. Earlier in 2026, they returned with four Echo Clog colorways and a lookbook starring the Japanese hip-hop group Scha Dara Parr. This fall release is the third chapter.
How to Wear Camo Clogs
A bold pattern needs a calm outfit. Pair the black version with black or charcoal joggers, wide-leg jeans and a plain hoodie, so the camo becomes the focal point. The white pair works well with light-wash denim, cream knits and white socks for a cleaner streetwear look.
One practical tip: fit can vary between Crocs models, so check the size guide before ordering, especially if you plan to wear them with thick socks this fall. And if you missed the drop, keep an eye on BAPE.com and authorized retailers for restocks rather than paying inflated resale prices.
Plain clogs had a long run. With the Echo Clog 2, BAPE and Crocs are betting that this season, your clogs should make a statement too.
