Google search “Sanne Vloet,” and you’ll come across lots of information about the 25-year-old supermodel’s career. Since making her fashion debut in 2014, she’s walked in some of the most significant runways shows across the globe, like Oscar de la Renta, Balmain, and Chanel, just to name a few. You’ve also likely seen her at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show catwalk, in the glossy pages of a fashion magazine—or maybe you’re one of the wellness influencer’s 1 million YouTube subscribers.

But besides her über successful modeling and social media career, one thing you might not immediately come across on Google is her beauty brand, Izé Skincare, which is equally as notable. Created with the help of veteran cosmetic chemist, Benny Bakar, her vegan line is comprised of three facial oils made with raw ingredients that help with hydration, calming, and brightening, respectively. The serums are no stranger to our Instagram feeds, a favorite among minimalist skincare lovers who seek product formulas that pack a punch without packing in a ton of unnecessary and potentially harmful ingredients.

Ahead, Vloet walks GRAZIA through her day, starting at the very moment her alarm clock rings to the moment her head hits the pillow at the end of a long day.

What time do you wake up on an average day, and what’s the first thing you do?

I wake up between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. I try not to grab my phone first thing. I drink half of my bottle of water and brush my teeth. I wash my face with a splash of cold water and walk downstairs to make a hot matcha! Once I have my morning matcha, I can check my phone for important messages, news, or emails. I do a 20-minute stretch followed by a workout or a shower to begin my day!

Can you walk us through your morning skincare routine?

I keep my morning skincare routine simple and quick. I wash my face with Omorovicza face cleanser. This cleanser is super very gentle and doesn’t dry out my skin. Then I spray Hydration Butterfly Toner from Sonya Dakar followed by Dr. Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum to hydrate the skin. I top it all off with my Ize skincare calming face oil to moisturize and finish with EltaMD sunscreen.

Normal morning makeup and hair routine?

I usually wear a little Ilia foundation (a clean beauty brand) to neutralize my red cheeks a bit! I add a little concealer from Laura Mercier, Hula bronzer, and Shade & Illuminate Highlighter from Tom Ford. I never leave the house without doing my brows! My favorite is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyebrow Pen, which fills my brows in a very natural way. I curl my eyelashes with my Kevyn Aucoin curler and sometimes add a little mascara. My favorite lip brand is Charlotte Tilbury. I use her clear lip gloss or lip liner in the color Pillow Talk.

For my hair, I use some texturizing spray from Oribe and use Gisou Hair Oil on the dry ends. I keep it very simple because I usually wear my hair up during the day.

It’s time to eat breakfast! What are you eating?

Ooh, I love breakfast so much, but I don’t enjoy it when it’s too heavy! I often do a chocolate avocado protein smoothie with frozen spinach, half an avocado, ice cubes, 1 tbsp cacao powder, ¼ tsp cinnamon, vanilla extract, two scoops of Wellthy collagen protein, and almond milk. When I am in the mood for something more savory, I love breakfast tacos in a coconut wrap with eggs and bacon.

How long does it usually take you to get dressed in the am? Walk us through the process.

Well, during the pandemic, it only takes me one minute because I choose the comfiest outfit. But before, it would take me at least 20 minutes.

Your favorite wardrobe essential right now?

Matching sets! I love to be comfy at home. My favorite brand right now is Naadam, a sustainable Mongolian wool brand. All their pieces are so soft and beautiful.

Any other morning rituals that are important to you?

My morning Nekohama matcha is definitely the most important. I enjoy the process of making matcha so much. It’s very meditative and comforting for me. I always take a couple of deep breaths and feel I start the day in a good way. Keeping a routine is so essential, and this has helped me a lot while providing a boost of clean energy.

Is there such thing as an “average” day in your life? If so, what are you doing? If no, can you touch on what you’ve been up to these days?

Yes, there are! Especially during these times. I always have the same morning routine, often followed by a couple of Zoom calls. After, I start creating content, either in the kitchen, testing new recipes, filming YouTube videos, cooking, or working on my wellness platform. In the evening, I love to take a bath and watch a short scene of a movie or series because I often fall asleep.

We noticed you love to cook! How do you decide what’s for dinner?

Good question! I honestly often just look in my fridge and see what ingredients I have left over. I usually start with the protein choice. Those are always limited in my fridge because I try to buy them as fresh as possible. Then I start to brainstorm around that. I ask myself what kind of cuisine I am craving (Asian, Mexican, Indian, or American, for example). Last night, I had fresh salmon in my fridge and was craving Asian. I made brown rice, honey glazed salmon with broccoli, and steamed kabocha squash.

Favorite recipe of the moment?

My favorite recipe at the moment is miso black cod with roasted veggies and Japanese purple potato. Very clean, healthy, and nutritious. I have also been into fish tacos lately with cod and cabbage slaw.

Any nightly wind-down routines?

I recently started taking magnesium/Epsom salt baths and have noticed a big difference! Not only is my mind relaxed, but my body as well. The magnesium relaxes the muscles.

Favorite TV show of the moment?

I just finished a show called Tehran, which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a new show.

Can you walk us through your nighttime skincare routine?

For my nighttime routine, I take a little more time. I use the green balm from Farmacy to take off my makeup. Then in the shower, I use the Omorovisza cleanser again to clean my face. Twice a week, I exfoliate with an exfoliator from Dermalogica. I love face masks and start with the Rose Gold Mask from Sonya Dakar. It’s a red clay mask, and normally clay masks dry out my dry skin, but this one purifies and doesn’t dry it out!! If I have time, I add a face mask from Dr. Barbara Sturm, followed by her hyaluronic serum. I apply Hydrating Ize face oil, which has jojoba seed oil and moisturizes the skin. For my lips, I use the Laneige lip mask—I am obsessed with this product!

Favorite pajamas of the moment?

My friend gave me silk pajamas from India. They are very colorful and I love them so much.

What time do you usually go to sleep? Any products that help you catch your zzz’s?

I try to go to bed around 10:30 but often stay awake until 11:30. If I had a very stressful day or a lot on my mind, I enjoy taking CBD with melatonin from the brand Highline Wellness. I also enjoy lighting up a Trudon candle right before I go to sleep. It makes me feel very calm and sleepy.
