As part of the brand’s Saint Laurent Rive Droite Ephemeral Gallery project, creative director Anthony Vaccarello hosted a brigade of best dressed A-listers and close friends of the fashion house in Miami Beach last night in celebration of this year’s annual Art Basel. With stars like Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz, Olivia Rodrigo, Amber Valletta, and a slew of models in attendance, the YSL gathering shaped up to be one of the season’s chicest parties yet.
Saint Laurent’s Rive Droite Ephemeral Gallery project has partnered with New York-based artist Sho Shibuya this year, exhibiting fifty-five paintings at a provisional outdoor location at Beachfront 17th Street for the latest Art Basel occasion. Commissioned by Saint Laurent, curated by Anthony Vaccarello, and created by Sho Shibuya, the exhibition will be showcased from November 30th to December 5th.
Aptly located on the beach, Shibuya’s paintings plastered on the front of the New York Times depict sunrises from the duration of the pandemic, creating an illusion to reviewing the tumultuous past while being subject to the present, and hopefully an even brighter future.
With having previously joined forces with artists such as Louis Bourgeois, Jenny Holzer, and Helmut Lang, these partnerships instill a deep seated and intertwining relationship between that of the art world and the fashion industry.
Some of Saint Laurent’s most recognizable faces stepped out in the latest fashions in support of the brand’s artistic endeavors. Donning a periwinkle floral full-body catsuit, Hailey Bieber was far from alone in her choice of unitard along with brand ambassadors Mica Argañaraz and Anja Rubik. Zoë Kravitz opted for a floral printed mini dress while Olivia Rodrigo and Amber Valletta sported classic LBDs. With a buzzy crowd in tow, it’s certainly safe to say that Saint Laurent successfully kicked off this year’s Art Basel in style.
