After last year’s virtual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony, the stars are back on the carpet and bringing bold, unforgettable looks to mark their return. From brilliant ballgowns from Cynthia Erivo and Kerry Washington, to leading men like Javier Bardem, Leslie Odom Jr. and Jared Leto giving their tuxedos a fun twist, these are our favorite style moments of the night. Lady Gaga

The House of Gucci nominee wowed in her white curve-hugging Armani Privé gown with crystal-embellished bodice, plus Tiffany & Co. jewels, including an 18-carat diamond necklace with 18-carat diamond drop earrings and 8-carat diamond ring. On the carpet she said the story she’s telling through her look is simply that she’s “honored to be here.”

“This is a beautiful night where we all get to celebrate art together and celebrate each other,” she said. “There’s so much going on in the world and my heart really goes out to Ukraine and I think tonight we should really sit in the gratitude of this.”

Cynthia Erivo

Cynthia Erivo paid respect to her on-screen character, Aretha Franklin, in Genius: Aretha through her Louis Vuitton custom creation. “We were trying to find a modern throwback to some of the things Aretha would do,” Erivo said on the carpet. “You know she was super daring with her fashion and her style.” Erivo also brought her own signature style staples as well, including loading up on Tiffany & Co. jewels with earrings, bracelet and rings which were accented by her matching manicure.

Kerry Washington

There was no missing Kerry in her highlighter yellow Celia Kritharioti Couture strapless ballgown, with ruched bodice and bustled voluminous full skirt, paired with Messika Paris jewels and Stuart Weitzman heels.

Cate Blanchett

The actress took the plunge in a low-cut black strapless Armani gown with embroidered neckline and peplum-style waist, plus Pomellato jewels.

Salma Hayek

On the carpet the House of Gucci star couldn’t pinpoint the name of the hue of her gorgeous Gucci gown, but proclaimed, “I love the color.” (For the record, the brand is calling it “begonia pink.”) She chose a ruched asymmetrical halter gown, paired with matching lace opera gloves and gold heels.

Elle Fanning

“I just didn’t feel like wearing a dress,” Fanning said on the red carpet. “I was like, ‘Let’s do the suit.'” She went with a head-to-toe custom Gucci look in her silk vest, georgette sheer blouse, pinstripe beaded trousers and platform pumps, plus Cartier jewels.

Jessica Chastain

The actress shines with her shimmery suiting by Dior, accompanied with De Beers earrings.

Selena Gomez

For her first-ever SAG Awards, Gomez goes sophisticated in her strong-shouldered Oscar de la Renta gown worn with a triple-chain Bulgari Serpenti necklace.

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman chose a long-sleeve Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello black gown that kept the focus on its oversize white bow tie, and accessorized with Harry Winston jewels and Omega watch.

Ariana DeBose

The actress paid homage to “Old Hollywood glamour,” as she said on the carpet, in her Valentino Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2022 fuchsia strapless ballgown, which featured a billowing back detail and train. She accessorized with a 37-carat diamond necklace by De Beers Jewellers, as well as a diamond bracelet, earrings and rings.

HoYeon Jung

The Squid Game star accessorized her custom crystal-embellished Louis Vuitton gown with more crystals in her hair! The French fashion house made a matching hair accessory, which added some glam to her long pony. She topped everything off with sandals also by Louis Vuitton, plus gold diamond earrings and a ring from the Louis Vuitton High Jewelry collection.

Leslie Odom Jr.

Everyone could spot Leslie Odom Jr. on the carpet in his oversize polkadot suit with matching white dotted shirt underneath.

Vanessa Hudgens

The In the Heights actress brought a sexy spin to the carpet in her blue-green Atelier Versace slip dress with daring side slit, plus gold platforms and Chopard jewelry.

Venus Williams

Another attendee bringing sexy style to the carpet is Venus Williams, in her asymmetrical white Dolce & Gabbana custom gown with high-shine silver bodice and high-cut slit, which she accessorized with a Rodo embellished heart clutch and ankle-strap sandals.

Kid Cudi

The Don’t Look Up star shined thanks to his embroidered Louis Vuitton tuxedo, which he paired with rings and a necklace from the brand’s fine jewelry collection.

Sandra Oh

Sandra Oh’s silver metallic ballgown with tiered full skirt is from Carolina Herrera’s Pre-Fall 2022 collection.

Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee Steinfeld brought the glam in a Miu Miu beaded black cutout column gown with Tiffany & Co. jewels.

June Temple

Juno Temple’s chainmail Versace dress had an extra-special meaning for the star. “I am a fashion junkie. I wanted to go to fashion school, and Versace chainmail has been something that I have fantasized about since I was probably 14 years old and now I’m wearing one,” the Ted Lasso star said on the carpet. “It feels like I’m Cinderella.
