The bad girl is sporting her pride colors. Yesterday, as Pride Month closes out, Rihanna took to Instagram to drop the new rainbow-clad Savage x Fenty lingerie line.

In the caption below thee photo, Rihanna, 33, stated that the pride collection would partner with the Clara Lionel Foundation, an organization that supports and funds groundbreaking emergency response, climate resilience & education work around the world, in order to support causes that uplift the LGBTQIA+ community.

Choosing to model her own product, as any self-confident business owner would, Rihanna poses in a photo with a peak-a-boo rainbow thong and thigh-high black stockings with a rainbow garter in a triptych of images that titillate her audience for a good cause.

The photos, which are a unusual departure from a traditional, professional photoshoot, act as a way to set the line apart from most corporately-driven pride campaigns. The setting feels more personal and intimate, playing into the nature of the lingerie.

This isn’t the first time that Rihanna has showed support for her LGBTQIA+ fan base. In 2014 Rihanna spoke out against the Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia due to the violation of LGBTQIA+ human rights the country’s government has perpetuated. She, along with other celebrities, wore a Principle 6 beanie in protest of the Russian government’s treatment of gay people.

When a fan of hers had trouble coming out to his family as gay in 2016, she acted as a mentor on Twitter and periodically checked in on him and his progress, with her main message being “to be who you are.”

It’s important for celebrities to uplift and support the fans that make their career. It is important that LGBTQIA+ fans of artists know who they are supporting and in turn, what those celebrities do with the platforms they have. Rihanna has showed time and time again that she is an ally to LGBTQIA+ people everywhere, and this latest promotion is an extension of that.
