It’s always nice to get a little peek into the morning routines of our favorite celebrities – and the smoothie recipes of these supernovas are a point of intrigue. Cindy Crawford recently shared her smoothie ingredients list with us but today, it’s all about Reese Witherspoon’s green smoothie recipe.

The Little Fires Everywhere star took to Instagram to share what she puts into her blender of a morning, a concoction she picked up from her good friend and Little Fires co-star Kerry Washington. “I sat next to Kerry Washington at an awards show and I said to her, ‘Your skin is so beautiful. What do you do?’” Witherspoon explains. “And she said, “Actually, I think it’s from this drink I drink. It’s really changed my skin. It makes my hair and nails really strong.”

In the video, the 44-year-old actor and her positive energy can be seen chopping, dicing and dancing around, the latter a non-negotiable ingredient. “I have [my smoothie] around 10 or 11 in the morning and I’m not hungry at all til 1pm,” she says.

It’s Witherspoon’s goofy commentary and antics with a wooden spoon that make her so down-to-earth and relatable (perhaps more so than the ornate wallpaper behind her!).“You can put anything green in there that you have if your refrigerator,” she says. “If you have lettuce and didn’t make that salad that you wanted to make, you can put it in there.”

A word of warning, it’s HUGE. There is a whole banana, a whole apple, a whole pear, a whole lemon and two heads of lettuce. But don’t worry, it took me a second to realize this recipe makes two servings. “This actually makes two portions so I leave it in the fridge and then I don’t have to make it tomorrow,” explains Witherspoon.
