Camille Miceli

In September 2021, Camille Miceli was named the new artistic director of Emilio Pucci, following her time as accessories creative director at Louis Vuitton, and as it turns out, her first collection for the brand is dropping sooner than you may have thought. Her debut line for the Italian fashion house, titled “La Grotta Azzurra,” is launching on April 29 exclusively with the luxury e-retailer Mytheresa.

“La Grotta Azzurra” translates to “the blue cave of Anacapri,” and is a nod to Capri, where founder Emilio Pucci opened his first boutique in Marina Piccola in 1951. The pieces were inspired by the Mediterranean, with a “nomadic, joyful and colorful wardrobe,” the press release states. The brand also notes that the presentation will transport guests back to the “jet-set spirit of the ’60s and ’70s”.

Fitting with the theme, the brand is inviting a select number of people to “experience the new Pucci lifestyle” through various immersive events that ends with a party in a villa hosted by Pucci and Mytheresa, as the exclusive partner of the event.

While the LVMH-backed brand is keeping the rest of details of the first collection under wraps for now, the line will go live for the public to shop following the event on mytheresa.com, as well as on pucci.com and in Pucci boutiques. The fashion house is following a “see now, buy now” strategy as part of its relaunch with new styles dropping in May, June and July.

Mark your calendars for the first release on April 29, to scoop up the new Mediterranean-inspired styles for those summer days ahead.
