Wedding bells are ringing for Princess Diana’s niece Lady Amelia Spencer. The 30-year-old tied the knot to Greg Mallett in a mountain-top ceremony near Cape Town in South Africa.
Hello! revealed the news with a quote from the new bride. “Growing up here together for the last 14 years, all of mine and Greg’s happiest times as a couple are here. It’s even more special now.”
Amelia is the daughter of Princess Diana’s brother, Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, and Victoria Aitken, his first wife. The two also have an older daughter Lady Kitty, Amelia’s twin, Lady Eliza, and a son, Samuel. All of Amelia’s siblings were reportedly at the nuptials.
Mallett popped the question to his longtime love in July 2020, also in South Africa, and told Hello! he’s been “dreaming of watching Amelia walk down the aisle for 14 years.” He proposed with an oval-shaped diamond ring, which Amelia showed off on Instagram.
“22 July 2020❤️ Best day of my life ❤️ I can’t wait to spend forever with you @gregmallett I couldn’t love you more,” she captioned a photo kissing Mallett.
A week ago, Amelia shared a photo embracing Mallett while posing with a scenic view of South Africa behind them writing, “Not long now…” For the pre-wedding festivities, the bride wore a champagne-colored silky backless halter dress, while Mallett was in a sleek suit.
Both Amelia and Mallett shared a series of pics from Amelia’s bachelorette party in January on social media. The bride-to-be wore a cropped white blouse with a matching mini skirt, a plenty of pink accessories including heart-shaped glasses. Mallett made a compilation video and captioned the post, “Can’t wait to marry you ❤️.”
Amelia is no stranger to the world of fashion — in fact, she’s a red carpet and runway regular. In February, she attended the Michael Kors Collection Fall/Winter 2023 show in New York City with her sister Eliza.
Then, she walked the catwalk for Josh Birch Jones in London. She also attended the Fashion Awards 2022 in December alongside Eliza as well.
