It was reported earlier on Thursday, that Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall went to be by the Queen’s side in Balmoral and were joined by Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie, along with Princess Anne.
While Prince Charles will assume the throne immediately, the coronation ceremony will typically happen a year later, according to PEOPLE.
The family rushed to be by her side after Buckingham Palace said the Queen was placed under medical supervision. “Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” the statement said. They added that the Queen “remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”
