Olivia Palermo might just be the original Instagram beauty muse. With her long caramel hair, bushy brown and penchant for a smoky eye, the OG It girl has always gotten it right.
But even now — 15 years after we met her on The Hills — Palermo is still serving amazing makeup looks, as seen below at the House of Gucci NYC film premiere.
With makeup by her long-time artist Andrea Tiller, Palermo wore the most incredible gold and charcoal winged smoky eye with thick, heavy lashes. Her skin was flawless, while the lips were a classic nude. Paired with expensive, super-shiny waves, it was the perfect party-season beauty inspiration, and one for the Instagram saved folder.
Palermo also kindly shared a product breakdown, including an innovative lipstick hack that involved a pump of her very own Olivia Palermo Beauty serum to mitigate post-flight dryness (genius, really).
On the skin, Tiller used Olivia Palermo Beauty Prime Time Illuminating Serum, followed by the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation.
On the eyes, it was Skyline Dusk from the Olivia Palermo Beauty Eyeshadow Palette in Soirée & Citrine Envy, plus the Pat McGrath Celestial Odyssey Palette with a Dior Beauty Liquid Liner. Palermo’s brows came courtesy of an Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder, while the lips were a blend of Olivia Palermo Beauty Matte Lipstick in Santa Fe with a pump of the aforementioned serum. Finally, the look was finished with a mist of Olivia Palermo Beauty Pre-Show Mattifying Mist.
The serum lipstick hack is especially useful, especially if you find your lipstick often cracks or dries out. Palermo’s Beauty Prime Time Illuminating Serum contains peptides, hyaluronic acid and pearl pigment to moisturise and illuminate, and can be used all over the skin, lips or mixed into foundation.
