Let’s face it, we all have what we like to call “online window shopping list.” Whether it’s a plethora of open web browsing tabs — we’re guilty of leaving tons of tabs open, in the hopes of going back to them — a screenshot in our screenshot album folder (also guilty), a saved folder on Instagram or a saved CB2 cart, we love online shopping — and saving for later. This week, upon sorting through our many home decor shopping carts, screenshots and saved inspiration folders, we found a through-line; we’re feeling blissfully beige. When compiling this list we noticed that we’re ready for the calming, neutral tones of fall (sorry vaxxed girl summer). We’re talking ivory boucle stools, terra-cotta vases, an ecru plaster side table, a camel cashmere blanket, lots of burrell wood and pops of brass.
As we update our wardrobes seasonally, that same sentiment also carries over into interior design. We’re not saying you can’t opt for shades of lime green, fuchsia and florals all year round (you absolutely can), we’re just saying the same way you replace that summer action blockbuster for cult Halloween films, or opt for that cashmere throw to cozy up with instead of lightweight linen, and how you switch out your strawberry acai refresher for the very polarizing pumpkin spice latte (we’re personally team PSL, but we digress), bringing slight seasonal refreshes into your space just makes sense.
