One of Netflix’s most audacious—at
the time, anyway—and addictive reality shows is back. The cast
of Season 1 of Love Is Blind have reunited for a
three-part reunion special that the streamer is billing as an
anniversary party you won’t want to miss!
The show became an instant hit when it debuted in February 2020,
showing us what happened when sexy singles were isolated in
pod—such a quaint, novel concept at the time—to get to know
potential loves sight unseen. The goal was to fall in love and get
engaged without ever seeing your intended. Out of the original 30
men and women, six heterosexual pairings emerged ultimately leading
to two marriages and one engagement.
Now, Love Is Blind: After the Altar reunites many
of those key players, including the couples that stayed together,
many who didn’t and some who never paired up at all. “Some of us
are still in love,” Diamond says in the trailer, “but some of us
are still searching.”
Based on the trailer, you can expect plenty of glitz and gossip.
And drama? Well, if this teaser is any indication, reuniting
Jessica and Barnett and Jessica and Amber and Jessica and Mark,
looks like it might be tricky!
“Going through the experiment,” Jessica says of the first
season, “I really kinda crashed and burned in front of the whole world.”
Meanwhile, Barnett, who remains married to Amber, doesn’t even seem
to want to talk about his flirtation with Jessica.
And don’t even get us started on Diamond and Carlton! “I’m still emotional about it so
much time after,” Carlton, whose bisexuality contributed to the
implosion of their relationship, explains.
The three-part special drops July 28, and Netflix promises two
more seasons of Love Is Blind are on the way!
