Woman Kind, Kind Woman. Tu Es Jolie. Incredible Woman. Let Your Hair Down. You Go Girl! These are just some of the slogans that blast across a range of new limited-edition t-shirts available on Net-a-Porter, in what is a stylish celebration of International Women’s Day with 100% of proceeds donated to the Women for Women International charity.

To mark International Women’s Day on March 8 (this Sunday), the e-tail giant has partnered up with its female designers (and a couple of iconic male designers) to create 20 exclusive t-shirts that honor women: her strength, her bravery, her passion, her love.

Signaling Net-a-Porter’s 20th anniversary, 20 iconic brands and female designers were invited to submit designs, including Stella McCartney, Gabriela Hearst, ALEXACHUNG, Isabel Marant, Amina Muaddi, Carine Roitfeld, Jimmy Choo, ROTATE, Bernadette, Rosie Assoulin, STAUD, The Attico, The Range, The Frankie Shop, GANNI, Nanushka, Charlotte Tilbury, Cecilie Bahnsen, Roxanne Assoulin, alongside a NET-A-PORTER x Ninety Percent collaboration.

Each t-shirt reflects the designer’s personal interpretation of women’s empowerment and strength. There’s Bernadette’s deeply feminine dedication which depicts a rose motif; a commentary on how femininity can be both beautiful and fierce. While The Attico girls take a more upbeat path (of course), with their “Let Your Hair Down” t-shirt set to inspire women to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Stella McCartney bridges her two passions; the sisterhood and sustainability with an illustration from her FW19 campaign, while Isabel Marant’s vibrant You Go Girl! motivates and applauds women everywhere. The Frankie Shop takes things a little more literally, personifying female bravery through strong padded shoulders and drives a dialogue about inclusivity.

Now in the third year of partnership with Women for Women International, all proceeds from t-shirt sales will be donated to the charity that helps women and female survivors living in war-torn countries to rebuild their lives. The organization enrolls women living in some of the world’s most dangerous places in a year-long training program where they learn about their rights, health, a vocational skill, and form a support network of women with similar experiences. Since 1993, Women for Women International has helped over half a million women by providing them with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency. Their stories are a true testimony to the courage and resilience of women.

Now say it loud – and proud – girls rule.

the exclusive t-shirts are available now on net-a-porter.
