Mouna Ayoub, the Lebanese-French dynamo known for her real estate prowess and haute couture passion, is creating a buzz with an unprecedented event held against the backdrop of Paris on November 20.

Here, Ayoub auctioned off 252 dazzling Chanel creations curated from the golden era of Karl Lagerfeld, spanning from 1990 to 2014. This soirée, aptly titled “The Golden Years of Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel From the Mouna Ayoub Haute Couture Collection,” attracted global fashion aficionados and avid collectors alike.

Ayoub’s love affair with fashion ignited in the 1970s when the French socialite sought to fill a void in her life from a busy billionaire husband, with the extravagant allure of Parisian haute couture. This passion evolved into a collection of over 2,700 haute couture masterpieces, each valued at $10,000 to $300,000.

Lagerfeld’s absence since 2019 added poignancy to this auction, turning it into a celebration of his artistry and an opportunity for others to embrace these iconic pieces.

“Karl Lagerfeld was a true maestro, and his Chanel designs continue to enchant and inspire me. These dresses are not mere garments; they are living art, capturing the very essence of femininity and sophistication.”

Ayoub’s auction was a spectacle of Lagerfeld’s brilliance, showcasing his iconic designs from the early ’90s until his passing in 2019, with Ayoub’s profound admiration for Lagerfeld’s artistry shining throughout her couture curation.
