Spring has finally arrived and nothing says “ready for the season” quite like a bright white suit, as Meghan Markle expertly demonstrated earlier today. On Friday, the Duchess of Sussex attended the opening reception for the 2022 Invictus Games in the Netherlands, while giving a masterclass in nailing the slightly oversized suit look.

The star arrived to the sports competition for wounded service members and veterans alongside her husband, Prince Harry, who founded the games. The former Suits actress chose a Valentino oversized double-breasted blazer and matching tailored high-wasted pants. She paired the oh-so-chic look with matching white pumps, a Valentino Garavani One Stud bag, plus a gold Cartier Tank watch, delicate hand chain, and multiple gold rings.

Markle also wore a gold pendant “Love” necklace from Sophie Lis that’s inspired by the poem, “The Eternal Song,” by Rosemonde Gerard. It features a plus sign in diamonds and a negative sign in rubies to reflect the passage in the poem that reads in French, “I love you more (+) than yesterday and less (-) than tomorrow.”

The designer shared a photo of Markle wearing the pendant on Instagram writing, “Symbolizing ever growing love, there couldn’t have been a better choice for the day.”

The 2022 Invictus Games run from April 16 to the 22, and according to People, the couple is set to make another appearance this evening for a second reception for dignitaries. We can’t wait to see what Markle wears next.
