If you opened your TikTok for your page this morning, you may have been presented with an obscure video posted by Clevr Blends, a powdered superfood company operating out of California.

In said video, you might have recognised—albeit not at first glance—a discernibly chic woman in the background, helping fulfil orders and sip from a Stanley Cup while wearing cerulean cashmere and Celine sunglasses. To answer your question, yes that was Meghan Markle.

Indeed, the Duchess of Sussex has returned to the screen—in fact, the smallest of screens—in a rare cameo appearance for a TikTok video. We never thought we’d see the day a royal would jump on the world’s most downloaded social media app. But with the Montecito-based actress an investor in the instant adaptogenic brews, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do shift product!

Though it’s a far departure from her breakout role as the ambitious paralegal, Rachel Zane, in Suits, Markle is proving to be a natural in front of the camera. (Even if it is an iPhone lens).

In the video, Markle plays the background role of a “very smart, only slightly nerdy” member of Clevr’s digital team, an “incredible, resilient” part of the ops team and someone who “lovingly packs your lattes” while listening to Britney Spears on loop. What range!

Naturally, the surprise appearance piqued the interest of netizens perplexed as to what they were watching. One user wrote, “The new hire deserves a raise and bonus and benefits. She is a multitasking Queen. Clearly,” echoing the sentiment that Markle deserves five stars for her performance. (Though it’s unclear if they’re referring to her performance as an actress or her performance in the role).

But as they say in Hollywood, any press is good press. And with this video slowly growing in view count, Markle will be laughing all the way to the bank. With a matcha super latte in hand, of course.
