Now, we had a moment with Megan Fox’s look on the VMAs red carpet this year. It was bold and mainly featured her nude figure underneath a sheer, sparkly gown.
In her own words, Fox said that boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly had a say in what she wore. Fox told Entertianment Tonight “[Kelly] was like, ‘You’re gonna be naked tonight.’ I was like, ‘Whatever you say, daddy!'” We’re not surprised by her verbiage on the red carpet, in fact, she’s known for being… bold with her statements. It’s even the reason she got sober after making some problematic statements at the 2009 Golden Globes after a bottle of Moet champagne.
Listen, here at GRAZIA we’re all for expressions of relationships that are healthy and based on consent. But fans of Fox are having some reactions that are… unsupportive to say the least. One fan jokingly wrote in response to the video, “please delete this. it’s the demon that possessed megan from Jennifer’s Body that is talking here,” referencing her iconic role in the 2009 Karyn Kusama film.
Another fan wrote “please delete this isn’t her it’s still the Jennifer’s Body demon please i’m begging.” While some were definitely shocked by the video, others drew comparisons of their relationship to Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton’s in the ’90s. One commenter wrote, “She wants to be 90s Angelina SO BAD!”
But in reality, the statement was probably just a way to play up comedy and spectacle for the audience and cameras. Both Fox and Kelly are known for their edgy style, and shock comedy is sure to make rounds on the internet. We’re writing this article, so, hey, guess it worked.
