This year Manolo Blahnik celebrates 50 years of elegance and style. Ever since the Spanish designer opened his first London boutique in 1971, there has always been a confident, sophisticated yet playful woman that gravitated towards the brand. From Princess Diana to our favorite fictional style icon Carrie Bradshaw (who offered up her jewels before her Manolos when being robbed), it’s clear that the label holds true sentiment in the wearer.

For a brand so rich in history and culture, a big celebration is more than necessary. Blahnik designed a capsule collection to commemorate the tremendous history of the global luxury accessories house, and naturally, he gave it the Midas touch. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate a golden anniversary than with an oh-so fitting glistening capsule collection — can you?

The collection, which would definitely get the Bradshaw seal of approval, comes together in lavish silhouettes that are quintessential Manolo. The extensive range is complete with new styles, fused with reimagined classics and signatures like the HANGISI, MAYSALE, LURUM and NADIRA that brand devotees have come to love and treasure year after year dipped in gilded gold.

Blahnik’s standout group in the collection is undoubtedly the “Bells.” Each style comes to form in an exaggerated flat boot, a barely-there sandal, as well as dorsay pumps, finished with a delicate bell chain anklet inspired by a charm bracelet his mom wore throughout his childhood, adding a bit of personal story to the range.

In addition to the fab shoe capsule, the family-run company is also opening up its archive this month to the public for the first time in an exhibition titled Manolo Blahnik: A New Way of Walking. The virtual exhibition will allow fans of the footwear label to understand the breadth of the house’s archives highlighting the constant innovation within by diving into a five ‘rooms’ experience that celebrates the past and present pivotal moments.

Both the Gold capsule collection and the Manolo Blahnik: A New Way of Walking exhibition are available for your enjoyment at manoloblahnik.com.
