The only son of Lisa Marie Presley – and grandson of rock legend Elvis Presley – has died of a suspected suicide today. TMZ is reporting that Benjamin Keough, 27, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Calabasas in Los Angeles.

“She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley [Keough],” Presley’s representative Roger Widynowski said in the statement. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

Presley had Riley, 31, and Benjamin with her first husband musician Danny Keough. Two years after her son was born, Presley divorced Keough. She bizarrely married Michael Jackson just 20 days later.

Not much was known about Benjamin, perhaps the most reclusive of the famous family. Lots of celebrities have reached out to the Presley family, one of note was Nancy Sinatra. “I have known you since before your mama gave birth to you,” she wrote. “Never dreaming you would have pain like this in your life. I’m so very sorry.”

During his short life, Benjamin struck a recording deal with Universal Music reportedly worth $5 million.

Of his resemblance to his grandfather, Benjamin’s mother once said: “Ben does look so much like Elvis. He was at the Opry [in Nashville] and was the quiet storm behind the stage.” She added, “Everybody turned around and looked when he was over there. Everybody was grabbing him for a photo because it is just uncanny.” She even wrote a song about Ben called “Storm and Grace.” Storm’s his middle name.

May he rest in peace.

More to come.
