Last week, the family-owned, New York-based jewelry brand Le Vian landed in Las Vegas. The luxury jeweler celebrated its 23rd annual red carpet catwalk featuring key sentiments that will set the pace for jewelry demand in 2023.

To debut the 2023 Trend Forecast, the brand gathered leading industry notables in the jewelry world, from global retailers to leading independent stores, A-list press, influencers, and VVVIP clients at the Venetian Hotel to learn first-hand from the experts which trends they can expect to see (and add to their own assortments) for the upcoming year.

Seven members of the Le Vian family each presented the seven trends of 2023 to the audience. The key sentiments include Alive! Beautiful Creations™, arising from a primal desire to attach ourselves to life itself and nature; Tranquility, the state of inner peace we strive for when the backdrop to our lives and our world exhibits chaos and conflict; and Balance, a return to normalcy and possibility, expressed by emerald gemstones and emerald cuts, renowned for balance.

“Over the last two decades, we have identified style trends by looking to our credentials in high fashion, red carpet celebrity dressing, and consumer behaviors, gleaned from sales at our thousands of annual one-day trunk shows featuring one-of-a-kind originals from hundreds of new collections each year,” says CEO Eddie Le Vian. “However, for our 2023 Trend Forecast, we have pivoted our focus to the emotions at the core of jewelry buying decisions. We are focusing on the consumer sentiments which reflect the zeitgeist and articulate the mood of the moment in popular culture. This is an important step for the future of our family business, which I’m glad to say nine members of the next generation have joined in the last two decades.”

The jewelry trend forecast also served as a fundraiser supporting children’s charities including St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and Jewelers for Children as well as the Diamonds Do Good organization that empowers people in the remote diamond producing areas of the world. In the last year, Le Vian’s Red Carpet Revue events have raised over $1 million for these chosen charities.

Guests took in the dazzling jewelry from Le Vain’s wide range that filled the glittering ballroom to spark some inspiration ahead of the runway. Models included friend of the brand, Andie Weinman, president of Continental Buying Group, who walked with her dog, Elvis wearing pieces from the Alive! Beautiful Creations collection. Weinman is a survivor of an illness which two years ago she was told was terminal.

There was also a performance by Kodi Lee, a 25-year-old blind and autistic pianist who rose to fame after winning season 14 of America’s Got Talent.

Members of the Le Vian family also honored the 100th birthday of their late father and grandfather. In a personal homage, members of the family highlighted the characteristics and attributes of the founder that played an integral and influential role in the brand and still reign true in the values that inspire the current generation today.
