Kim Kardashian and North West are serving some serious mother-daughter moments this haute couture season. The pair’s latest look saw the duo don Nineties grunge nose chains to sit front row at the 2022 Jean-Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show, which saw designer Olivier Rousteing take the reins for a special one-off collection.
The pair wore matching monochromatic ensembles with pinstripe detailing and stacks of silver jewelery. Kardashian opted for a fitted ankle-skimming dress with flesh-toned panels at the bust, while 9-year-old West wore more structured attire, including a waistcoat and co-ordinating skirt, white shirt and knee-high combat boots.
The pair’s matching nose chains were undoubtedly the most eye-catching element of the looks, with long chains running from the silver nose ring and looping down to connect with their earrings.
Identical black oval sunglasses perched atop the nose rings served to tie the looks together even further. Kardashian’s newly platinum tresses were styled in loose waves alongside her signature bronze makeup look, while West wore her hair in glossy twisted braids.
West has been leaving her own style mark on the fashion world this season, sitting front row to support her mother during Kardashian’s runway debut for Balenciaga and delivering a nostalgic nod to dad Kanye West by wearing one of his Pastelle jackets earlier in the week.
It should hardly come as a surprise that West boasts natural sartorial flair given her style icon parents, but Kardashian revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her daughter even styled her siblings for a recent cover shoot after being unsatisfied with the clothing options on offer.
“She styled the whole thing,” she said. “They were all going to wear black and she walked out and was like, ‘This is so boring. I can’t believe this is what we’re going to wear. I’m gonna dress everyone.’ She went in everyone’s closet and picked it all out.”
Keep the mother-daughter style moments coming.
