With one new relationship, one new hair colour and one new business since her divorce from Kanye West, it appears Kim Kardashian has finally found her stride when it comes to the one thing she was dreading doing alone: styling herself.
After leaning on her ex-husband Kanye West for fashion advice throughout their decade-long relationship – the rapper famously threw away the entirety of Kardashian’s wardrobe in their early days of dating – and becoming a style icon in the process, Kardashian candidly told her sisters on an episode of The Kardashians that she was terrified she couldn’t dress herself anymore without his help.
But while promoting her new skincare line, SKKN by Kim, this week in New York City, Kardashian hasn’t been afraid to experiment with her looks, choosing bolder pieces by her go-to label of the moment, Balenciaga, including a pair of skintight pants in silver, blue and red, paired with a diamonte version of the Le Cagole bag, and, the next day, a pair of Y2K-worthy baggy cargo pants.
In both cases, Kardashian made her trousers the star of the show. With her her bright pants, she wore a simple white tee and with her cargo pants, she wore a tight cropped black SKIMs t-shirt, a black baseball cap over top of her freshly peroxide blonde hair, and supported her ex-husband by wearing a pair of Adidas Yeezy 450 trainers on her feet.
Kardashian accessorised with black cat-eye shades and a black leather shoulder bag, both of which were naturally also from Balenciaga as she held hands with her son, Psalm, while her older child, Saint, walked in front.
In the images, the family were leaving The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, which Kardashian appeared on to promote SKKN by Kim. During her interview with Fallon, Kardashian hilariously had to pause to tell her kids, who were joining their mum at work for the first time and were sitting just out of shot, to be quiet.
“Guys, can you stop? This is, like, your first time at work with me. Can you please?” Kardashian said with a smile on her face. During the chat, she also revealed her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, helps her apply pimple cream. A perfect man.
