Kendall Jenner Messika

Kendall Jenner had a busy 2021 adding creative director of FWRD to her resume and pulling off some amazing street style looks—which is no easy feat. Now kicking off her first project of the new year, Jenner fronts the face of Paris-based jewelry brand Messika’s latest campaign.

When it came to selecting the new face of the brand’s latest collection, founder Valerie Messika felt inspired by Jenner. “Women inspire me through their individuality. I see in Kendall as an incarnation of the alpha woman: mysterious, free and in control of her own destiny.” says Messika in a statement shared with GRAZIA. “She is also a strong and influential woman. She is one of 2.0 top models: a reflection of the new generation.”

Messika enlist photographer Chris Colls known for his work with Moncler, Victoria Beckham, and Saint Laurent to bring her vision to life. The campaign, shot in St. Tropez shows Jenner pool and ocean side donning the brands feminie yet cool dsigns including the Move Uno Pavé ring, the Move bracelet (customizable), and signatures of the brands core collection the MoveNoa and Move Romane.

For Messika, working with Colls came organically. The two have worked together previously last year on the brands campaign featuring Kate Moss. “I admire his work. He had already photographed Kate Moss for our collaboration, and the photos were amazing!” sais Messika. “When I feel confident with someone, I like to maintain a long-term relationship. I also find that we have common inspirations such as his deeper interests across art and architecture. Finally, Chris knows how to create a subtle relationship with the talents with whom he collaborates, and it emanates from the images he creates. He captures unique moments and disrupts our conception of time with suddenly seems suspended.”
