Following the breaking news that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were on the verge of divorce, there were bound to be some juicy stories coming out as to why. But this is one we didn’t see coming.
Earlier this week, rumors started swirling on social that the 43-year-old rapper is now hooking up with makeup mogul, Jeffree Star.
TikTok star Ava Louise, best known for her song, “Skinny Legend Anthem,” perpetuated the rumor further. On her social media account, the influencer shared the Page Six article that broke the Kimye divorce news and said it was “no surprise” because she had known “for months” that West was “hooking up with a very famous beauty guru.”
“This is alleged, and I was told by a source — a very good one,” Louise wrote in the comments of her TikTok. “My friend is a big lawyer in L.A. and met with Kim months ago and was told all of this given evidence. I want to drop receipts but I can’t.”
“A lot of people in the scene have known for a while,” she added.
Star responded by throwing fuel on the rumor, cheekily tweeting “I’m ready for Sunday Service,” a reference to West’s recurring cult-like church gatherings. The YouTube personality also toyed with his curious followers, sharing a video of himself supposedly in Wyoming, where the Grammy winner also lives.
“I am here in the beautiful state of Wyoming,” he said in the video. “Hi snow in the background, and today I woke up and um, it’s been a very interesting day.”
Continuing to toy with curious fans, the Jeffree Star Cosmetics CEO skirted the issue when it came up with Twitter user @KeemStar, the owner behind the YouTube account DramaAlert. In the tweet, Keem asked the YouTuber, “Jeffree what do I say about these current rumors with you and Kanye” to which he then responded, “Hahaha. I’m having the best time in Wyoming, come visit sometime!”
Apart from speculation, there’s nothing to suggest Star and West are actually in a relationship — though in his NSFW 2009 song “Bitch, Please,” Star rhymed about having sex with the “Fade” rapper.
On Tuesday, Page Six has reported that “divorce is imminent” for Kardashian and West and that the reality starlet has hired powerful divorce attorney to the stars, Laura Wasser, whose clients include Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.
“They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source told the outlet. “Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”’
It’s no secret the couple’s marriage has been on thin ice lately. The “Jesus Walks” rapper and Skims designer did not spend the holidays together this year — West was in Wyoming, while the Kardashian clan was in California.
“Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done,” the insider added.
Even though the 40-year-old has publicly stuck by her man in the past — even through his delusional presidential run and mental health struggles — the E! personality has thought things over and realized this is the best decision for the pair.
“Now this divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot,” the source added. “She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign. Meanwhile Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy s**t, and she’s just had enough of it.”
However, West doesn’t seem like he will be too upset about not being associated with the famous brood anymore. The Yeezy designer “is completely over the entire family …. He wants nothing to do with them,” another source revealed.
The high-profile couple, who married in Italy in 2014, share four kids: daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 2, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, 1.
