There’s never been a leather look that Uncut Gems actress and style star Julia Fox hasn’t taken for a spin, and she just pushed her sartorial boundaries over the weekend by bringing her love of leather to fiery new heights. The star wore the Fire Train Coat, courtesy of 21-year-old London-based independent fashion designer Sam Macer for a rooftop photo shoot and it’s something you have to see to believe (check out the clip, below).

Fox was videotaped by Ben Draghi, partner to Fox’s close friend Richie Shazam, where she posed with her long leather trench ablaze, in a matching black leather bodysuit and knee-high leather boots. She waved around a paper which was also on fire, which eventually lit her sleeves on fire as well.

“My son was conceived on this roof top,” Fox captioned the clip. (She shares 1-year-old son Valentino with her ex, Peter Artemiev.) “Anyway this stunning pyro coat is by @samxmacer,” she continued.

Macer told Page Six that the sleeves and train were wrapped in stretched steel wool “that is typically used by carpenters and mechanics,” he told the outlet. “When the pieces burn, the steel wool disintegrates and exposes the undergarment in the process. But it burns at a low temperature making it possible to have in close proximity to the body.”

Styled by Briana Andalore, Fox paid homage to her friend’s birthday today on her Instagram Stories, writing, “If there’s one thing I’m truly 10000% certain of is that we were sisters in a past life and I’m thrilled to have found u again in this one.”

Ever since her sartorial liaison with Kanye West, Fox has been making an entrance in risqué and avant-garde designs from bourgeoning talent and championing up-and-coming designers. While the fan of established brands like Schiaparelli and Diesel, Fox has recently donned looks from Moawlola Ogunlesi, Sia Arnika, SEKS apparel, Anna Heim, Tim Ruehl, and Paul Benzing.

Fox made headlines this weekend when she stepped out in a pair of NSFW extra-low-rise leather pants by Liza Keane. She was photographed at Indochine that evening alongside Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn and model Amelia Gray.

There’s truly no predicting what she’ll wear next.
