Jennifer Lawrence is having a baby! The actor’s team confirmed the happy news to People, which will see the Oscar winner become a mother for the first time. Ever the private pair, Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney declined to comment further about the pregnancy.
Since news broke that the couple are expecting, Lawrence was seen out strolling the streets of New York City with her burgeoning baby bump on display. The Oscar winner wore pair of floral overalls with a fitted white t-shirt and pink jelly sandals, allowing her growing bump to be seen by onlookers. It’s not yet known how far along Lawrence is or when the baby is due.
Lawrence met her art gallery director husband Maroney through mutual friends back in 2018. The pair enjoyed a whirlwind romance, marrying less than a year later in 2019, at a private ceremony held in Rhode Island.
While their courtship might have been fleeting, Lawrence has said she knew it was forever as soon as the pair met. “I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married,'” she told Catt Sadler on the NAKED With Catt Sandler podcast.
“I just met Cooke, and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully. He’s my best friend, so I want to legally bind him to me forever,” she continued. “Fortunately, the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person on the planet, you’re like: You can’t leave.”
