When Gigi Hadid was pregnant with baby Khai, she taught us that a button-up shirt goes a long way in laid-back pregnancy style. Sophie Turner had a knack for chic bump-baring activewear and Pernille Teisbaek proved that personal style could live on during term. Earlier this year, Jennifer Lawrence announced she was pregnant with her first child to husband Cooke Maroney and given her past red carpet appearances, we expected nothing less than glam maternity style.

Famous for steering clear of social media, Lawrence confirmed her pregnancy in September the old fashioned way in statement to People. Just days later she debuted her baby bump during a stroll through New York City. She wore a white tee and brown floral overalls and a tan Dior Bobby bag. Of course that was only a casual prelude to her ongoing pregnancy style which has proved to be nothing short of gorgeous.

Before we even knew that Lawrence was expecting, she attended the Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022 runway show as part of Paris Fashion Week in July. The actress would have been early in her term (although it is unclear exactly when she is due). She was dressed in a button-down white short sleeve midi dress which was accented with large box pleats and cinched in at the waist with a monogram belt.

Lawrence was then spotted a number of times out and about. Her off-duty style usually consisted of an oversized slip dress and a jacket. Just like the look she wore to an abortion rally with Amy Schumer.

For the first time since 2019, it was announced that the actress would appear on the big screen in Don’t Look Up. Alongside Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio, a very pregnant Lawrence has appeared several times for the promotion of the Netflix movie. In November she attended a screening of the film in Los Angeles where she wore a ’60s-style long sleeve shift dress with pink sculptural heels. It was paired-back, but chic.

Just over three weeks later Lawrence appeared on the red carpet for the world premiere of Don’t Look Up. The 31-year-old was styled by Kate Young (who counts clients such as Selena Gomez and Kate Hudson) and was positively glowing in a Dior Haute couture beaded gown.

Unbeknown to us at the time but Lawrence later confessed that her return to the red carpet felt like an “out of body” experience. “I’m, like, not here—if that makes sense,” she told E! News. “I’m not processing [it].”

Most recently the Red Sparrow star was photographed outside of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert wearing a stunning Oscar de la Renta polkadot number. The look was kept classic with black pumps and pearl accessories.

We can only expect more chic maternity stye to come so stay tuned.
