Jenna Ortega has been channeling her hit character, Wednesday Addams, on the carpet ever since the Netflix show, Wednesday, skyrocketed in ratings. Ortega certainly knows how to pull off a high-fashion look with an edge, and she did it again at the premiere of Scream VI in New York City.
The star chose a look by Jean Paul Gaultier from the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022 collection, created by guest designer Olivier Rousteing of Balmain fame. It featured a deconstructed white button-down shirt dress with a plunging V-neckline, with a black tuxedo jacket on top which was also slightly deconstructed featuring lapels on her shoulders. Styled by Enrique Melendez, Ortega teamed the ensemble with black platform peep-toe heels and Tiffany & Co. jewels, including a glittering diamond necklace.
Ortega styled her brunette shag haircut in piecey waves and added a pop of color with a bold crimson red lip.

The star catapulted to a whole other level of fame since starring as Wednesday Addams in the Tim Burton-directed Netflix series Wednesday. The show became a fan-favorite overnight and Wednesday-inspired fashion and beauty trends have saturated Instagram and TikTok feeds ever since. Viewers are replicating Ortega’s long double-braided hair, plum lips and dark academia style aesthetic — and Ortega herself is leading the Wednesday-core pack in designs from Versace, Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and Thom Browne.
The actress has been known to take goth glam style cues from her iconic character. Ortega’s edgy fashion sense is the perfect match to her ever-expanding filmography, which includes cult-beloved horror flicks like X and Scream 6.
Scream VI hits theaters on March 10.
