Euphoria star Jacob Elordi and social media influencer Olivia Jade Giannulli have reportedly broken up after dating since late 2021.
The couple were first linked late last year when they were papped at a coffee spot together, and have been spotted several times in 2022 doing coupled-up activities like walking Olivia Jade’s dog Layla and hanging out in sweatpants (the ultimate couple activity).
But sadly it seems the relationship is over, with Us Weekly reporting that the break up was due to both Elordi and Olivia Jade not wanting to be “tied down” to one another. The sources that spoke to the outlet certainly didn’t make it seem like the relationship was that serious.
“He’s not looking for a serious relationship at the moment,” the source said of Elordi, before calling his time with Olivia Jade “hanging out together.” So, was this one lengthy hook up or a case of mixed signals? Whatever the case, it doesn’t sound like she is doing the classic icecream-for-every-meal break up experience — a source told Page Six that the influencer is “living it up” with friends and “single and having fun.” We love to see it.
This isn’t Elordi’s first high-profile relationship — he’s been linked to Euphoria co-star Zendaya, and most recently was in a relationship with model Kaia Gerber for a year. They broke up a month before he was linked to Olivia Jade — who had also just exited an on-off relationship with boyfriend Jackson Guthy that August.
The news isn’t entirely surprising — the source adds that Jacob Elordi will be “focusing on his career,” which is most definitely on the rise. The actor has a slate of films in the works including a starring role in Promising Young Woman director Emerald Fennell’s new film Saltburn alongside Rosamund Pike, which begins filming soon. Plus, there’s the third season of Euphoria. The man is extremely busy, that’s for sure.
