It seems everything, or rather everyone, celebrity stylist Kate Young touches at the moment turns to sartorial gold. Of course, it helps having Selena Gomez, Sienna Miller, and Margot Robbie as your clients, the perfect canvases upon which to style.
And while both Gomez and Miller have had many fashion hits lately, it’s Margot Robbie who has really hit it out of the park while on the promotional tour for her film, “Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn).”
There was a long-sleeved black mini dress by Khaite, which featured a shirred sweetheart neckline and diamanté choker by Alessandra Rich at the “Birds Of Prey” premiere in Hollywood.
Then a superb tartan dress by Staud, which was fitted through the body and featured a squared-off neck, both sultry and classic.
An early fashion front runner for the year came in the form of Dries Van Noten, an artful peplum skirt in contrast polka dot and black brocade paired with a simple white tank, a red carpet highlight for 2020.
While she subverted traditional tailoring with Brandon Maxwell’s pale salmon suit which, instead of slacks, included a very short mini skirt.
And finally, for a night out at Annabel’s in Mayfair, London, a lesson in cozy tonal dressing via Chanel crème quilt and camel cashmere and suede.
