Looking to achieve a doe-eyed look? Here’s all the advice on choosing and applying natural-looking false eyelashes.

Applying False Eyelashes: A How-To Guide

Let’s start with the first step: how do you apply them?

If we’re talking about strip lashes, they are connected by a band where glue is applied. Position them as close to the lash line as possible, ensuring they adhere well. For individual cluster lashes (single lashes of varying lengths applied to the outer eye for elongation), place them where needed to fill gaps left by natural lashes.

Choosing the Right Glue

Selecting the right glue is crucial, as its success depends on it. Many lash kits include glue, but some makeup artists suggest using Ardell’s Duo Glue.

Whatever your preferred glue, apply a tiny amount with a very thin layer along the false lash band. Wait a moment before delicately and precisely placing them along the upper lash line.

If the false lash attachment and glue are too visible, use a pencil or eyeliner to conceal any small imperfections. Tweezers or a lash applicator can be helpful for positioning false lashes. To remove them, gently peel off the strip.

How Long Do False Eyelashes Last?

If you use good-quality false lashes, they can be reused several times. Be sure to remove any glue residue after each use.
