Parisian fashion brand Hervé Léger, best known for its bandage bodycon dresses, is ringing in the resort season with an exciting new collaboration. Tapping the “image architect” and renowned Hollywood stylist Law Roach for its forthcoming resort collection, the partnership will include a limited-edition 25-piece ready-to-wear assortment.

According to WWD, Roach‘s designs will be informed by the luxury brand’s archive. They will also be created with his top female clients (including Zendaya, Venus Williams, Kerry Washington, and Bella Hadid) in mind.

Roach told the outlet, “I first dove into the Hervé archive in 2017, when I was doing America’s Next Top Model with Tyra Banks. She was an Hervé girl and walked their runway in the ‘90s and that image is so iconic to me. So, when [creative director] Christian [Juul Nielsen] and the Hervé team approached me with the opportunity, it was a no-brainer.”

Roach went on to explain, ““This has been a very hands-on experience and I have been involved in every part of the process. We started by analyzing Hervé’s massive archive and pulled out elements that I liked and didn’t like. From there, I was able to see my vision and Christian helped make that vision come to life.”

It’s reported that he will maintain the brand’s specific, early-aughts nostalgia, by giving pieces new takes through embroidery and fabrics — something Juul Nielsen has done since being named creative director in 2018.

“I’ve long been impressed by how Law Roach builds such strong looks for women,” Jull Nielsen told WWD. “I love how he empowers through fashion on the red carpet. He celebrates curves and the female body, and I knew that would translate strongly in a collection for Hervé Léger.”

It’s fitting that Roach is reimagining the brand’s iconic pieces from its archive. After all, he has an extensive and impressive fashion archive of his own and regularly pulls from it to create memorable red carpet moments for his clients. Set to launch in October and retail between $690 and $2,900, the Hervé Léger x Law Roach limited-edition collection will be available in select Hervé Léger boutiques, specialty stores, and through the brand’s e-commerce platform, herveleger.com.
