If you’ve been lucky enough to nab a ticket to a Harry Styles concert recently, you’re aware of how incredibly wholesome the entire experience is. Once in a while however Styles truly outdoes himself with another viral moment and this week it occurred in Portugal. The pop star had embarked on a Love on Tour concert in Lisbon when he interrupted his show to assist in the sweetest proposal.
Footage was posted to social media of the moment Styles spotted the couple in the crowd. It seems the entire thing was pre-planned as the pop star reached down over the barrier and handed a man his microphone. He proceeded to serenade his girlfriend with the Elvis Presley track “Can’t Help Falling in Love” before the crowd joined in. He got down on one knee and proposed. Luckily for everyone involved, the woman said yes (how could you not?!).
At a show last October, Styles hosted a fan’s gender reveal mid-way through the concert. A pregnant woman was in the standing area holding a sign that read, “I’m having a baby. Please make it your business.” A friend alongside her held another sign that read, “And open these gender results.” Styles was handed an envelope from the woman in the crowd and was asked to read out the reveal. We of course can’t forget the occasion where he offered sage dating advice to a woman holding a sign that read, “should I text him”. His response was iconic.
This week’s moment is just one of many wholesome gestures from Styles in recent months. Last week Lizzo took to TikTok to reveal that Styles had sent her a huge bouquet of flowers after her hit track “About Damn Time” hit no. 1 on the charts.
