Halle Berry‘s endlessly glowing complexion is likely due to a few factors – access to expert assistance, good genetics, and a healthy lifestyle, being only a number of them. But it turns out the former isn’t always responsible for her clear skin, as Berry recently revealed she regularly indulges in an at-home facial routine – most of which consists of ingredients you’d find in your pantry.

“I’ve been doing a lot of home facials with products from the house like yogurt and honey, cucumber water, rosewater – things that I can easily get,” she told Allure about her go-to skin treatments during quarantine. She also told the publication that she often includes drugstore body scrubs in the routine to give her whole body some love. “[They help] give my home spa experience a lift.”

It seems the actor has been very into her skin routine recently, sharing the book Younger Skin Starts In The Gut by Dr. Nigma Talib on her Instagram page a few weeks back. She also turned to exercise during long periods in isolation, more specifically to her own fitness program, Respin. “I work out at least four to five days a week,” she said, adding that she ensures her skin is well looked after both before and after a workout to minimize breakouts.

“Before I work out, I make sure my face is cleansed and I put a topical product on my face that I really care about absorbing into my skin – [I’ll use] hyaluronic acid or some sort of vitamin C because that’s what I know I want to [be absorbed],” the complexion-conscious star told the outlet.

Excellent advice, and we’ll be mixing up our own all-natural Berry facial this weekend.
