The first fashion collaboration from the storied Paris hotel The Ritz has arrived just in time for hoodie season. The partnership with insider denim brand FRAME includes caps, cashmere socks and a very decadent blanket perfect for taking a bit of Paris home with you. I’ll be in this hoodie all winter dreaming of The Ritz and especially the margaritas from the hotel’s famous Hemingway Bar.

I love adding a fun headband to give looks some extra flair, and the new Crown Me line from ETRO is currently a favorite. Made from soft leather and bold cabochon stones, the headband comes in black and brown versions and is the perfect way to jazz up any outfit.

My love affair with blazers is a serious one. A good blazer is an easy way to dress up a look and perfect fall layering. Blazers come in all types of shapes and sizes but oversized boxy blazers are undoubtedly having a moment right now (Just take a look at our girl Hailey Bieber who nails it oh-so perfectly.) I can’t get enough of the deep orange color of the leather on this Aeron blazer, it’s giving major autumnal vibes!

I love a good bag—especially one that’s incredibly stylish, functional, sustainable, and a true statement piece. The Ova Bag from in-demand emerging brand Homage Year is my newest bag obsession. They come in a rainbow wheel of colors (the green is a personal fav), so there’s a color-way for just about everybody. On top of being beautiful, they’re made from vegan leather, are incredibly affordable, and most importantly, were designed by an amazing Black designer, Antoine Manning. For me, I look for fragrances that are genderless in the scent profile. In my personal opinion, smelling nice is neither masculine nor feminine, but about creating a presence and fantasy that leaves an impression on those you’re around. Aesop Marrakech achieves this for me, it combines dominating, warm hints of wood and spice with an underlying essence of florals which doesn’t dominate a room, but is alive enough to make itself known. Plus, only one spritz of this fragrance is enough to get the job done, making the price point very reasonable.

Around the beginning of the pandemic, I got very into “cozy mysteries.” At night I would sooth my anxious brain with old episodes of Poirot, Miss Marple, just about anything that has aired on PBS’s Mystery! since the mid ’80s. And during the day, I would put in my earbuds and listen to audiobooks as I wandered my neighborhood. (Go out for walks! they told us all…) The late crime novelist P.D. James’s Adam Dalgliesh mysteries were a particular fave. Now, the streaming service Acorn TV, which specializes in British crime dramas, has just premiered a new six-episode series starring the character. Dalgliesh adapts three of James’s novels, dividing each into two parts, with Bertie Carvel starring as the titular detective (and poet). The thing about Dalgliesh is it seems to be aiming for that sweet spot between the grimmer British procedurals of recent years (Happy Valley, Broadchurch, etc.) and the credulous whimsy of Agatha Christie. It’s set in the early 1970s, so it satisfies that uniquely American yen for the perceived warmth of a British period piece. But, like its handsome, taciturn hero, it’s serious minded; absorbing, but like all good cozy mysteries, not too demanding.
