It’s hard to keep track of time in the COVID-19 era. Even so, it feels like just yesterday that Fashion Month was the topic of conversation here at GRAZIA—despite its obvious differences from years past due to the pandemic. One of the most recent virtual shows that remain at the top of mind is the Versace Fall-Winter 2021 Ready-to-Wear live-stream, held on March 5. Models donned next season’s wares inside a magnificent and mesmerizing 3-D maze-turned-catwalk inspired by the luxury Italian label’s iconic La Greca Motif.
Among those inspired by Donatella Versace’s upcoming collection was Ariana Grande, who debuted Look 53 from the FW21 runway via Instagram on Monday, March 29. In the photographs, shared by the hitmaker and fashion stylist, Mimi Cuttrell, the gold-glitter mini dress looks custom-made for the singer—and runway-ready. To complete the post-pandemic party look, she teamed the A-line dress with the exact round-toe, crystal-embellished pumps seen on the runway.
According to Cuttrell’s Instagram caption, the fashion expert snapped these photographs of Grande at a fitting, which means the ensemble might make another appearance in the future (fingers crossed!) Not sure about you, but the Nickelodeon alum’s dress has us dreaming of an excuse to get glammed up…and/or do some shopping. Sadly, the Versace FW21 collection hasn’t launched yet, so in the meantime, GRAZIA’s curated a luxury edit of gold-glitter mini dresses to hold on to until the time is right, à la Grande.
