Florence Pugh has switched up her signature blonde locks for an entirely new look. The Black Widow star recently revealed a fresh hair transformation on her Instagram, posting a photo of herself holding a sizeable glass of Guinness. In the shot, Pugh’s hair has been significantly darkened to a chocolate hue – and she looks almost unrecognizable without her trademark platinum tresses.

Of course, the notoriously low-key star kept her hair reveal casual, posting a few more shots with her new color to her Instagram Stories without actually addressing the change. Fans exclaimed in the comments that Pugh looked completely different with the new brunette shade, which also appeared to display some coppery highlights throughout the lengths.

Pugh’s new hair is likely due to her upcoming role in Netflix’s The Wonder. The actor is currently on location in Ireland (hence the fondness for Guinness), where she is filming her part as a nurse in the psychological thriller. Pugh is set to play the main character Lib Wright, and it would appear she is enjoying her time on set for the adaptation of Emma Donoghue’s popular novel.

Posting to her Instagram, Pugh spoke of her excitement at being part of the project. “We’ve been traipsing around the Irish hills for the last week and it’s truly been a magnificent start to a beautiful and exciting film,” she wrote. “What a story to get our teeth stuck into, what a crew to be working alongside and a fantastic director Sebastian Lelio to be leading us! This will be fun.”

She continued to share her love for Ireland on Instagram Stories, where she also revealed that her dog Billy had joined her in the country for the duration of her stay. “I can’t tell you how gorgeous everyone is, every single person I interact with is lovely and so helpful,” she said.

“Everyone is so kind and ready to just have a good time with you. So, thank you Ireland for being so generous and welcoming.”

The Wonder is set for release on Netflix in 2022, and we can’t wait to see Pugh’s new hue in action.
