Fashion month has arrived in Milan, and Fendi has set the tone for what is set to be a week to remember.
The Spring/Summer 2023 was rife with texture, sorbet pastels, fluid silhouettes and heavy footwear, an extension of Kim Jones refreshed vision for the house.
As for hair and makeup, there was a similar theme: classic beauty with a hint of cool. Luxury heavyweights Guido Palau and Peter Philips were the duo behind it, workshopping the hair and makeup looks, respectively.
Palau — who is revered in the industry for his sculptural styles — showcased hair that was soft but heavy, with just a tiny bit of movement. Parts were slightly askew, and some model’s had a long, piecey (faux) fringe. Styled but only just so, the texture was perfectly undone and effortless; as if it dried naturally.
Philips, who’s makeup talent spans from the editorial to the every day, showed off fresh, dewy skin, hydrated lips, plush brows and eyes framed with sliver liquid liner. Fresh and illuminating, it was just enough sparkle to add interest, but not take the look to party territory. Worn next to cross-linked Fendi hoop earrings and plenty of sparkly studs, it’s a minimalist look worth storing in your back pre party season.
