After a year of being told not to touch things and keep our distance (for good reason), Prada is now inviting us all to feel things again in their Fall-Winter 2021 campaign. The campaign, entitled “FEELS LIKE PRADA” explores
What does Prada feel like to you? Is it the soft saffiano leather, the iconic it-girl nylon shoulder bag, or maybe its Miuccia Prada herself and how she ultimately transforming the Maison into the fashion powerhouse it’s recognized as today. . “To feel has connotations both sensorial and emotional – rather than intellectual discourse, it is about instinct, spontaneity.” the brand mentioned in a statement shared with GRAZIA.
The campaign shot by David Sims feeds the intimacy we’ve all been craving throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Prada has my fashion bones tingling with their high fashion approach to ASMR. The campaign video presents a series of clips showcasing the boot soles’ rubber against the ground, mohair sweaters rubbing against each other, and more.
The Prada Campaign is set to be brought to life at an unknown date (but we can only assume soon, being the season is around the corner.) The activation will be through various experimental activations, challenging the idea of intimacy and what it means to be touched and felt.
It seems Prada is definitely excited about the return of in-person activities, just last month, Prada launched Prada Outdoor, a series of pop-up shops and in-store installations. The Outdoor experience transformed the SoHo flagship into a beach with sand dunes, rocks, tents, and sunshades.
