FaceGym
Style Editor Ty Gaskins during FaceGym session

It has been a while since we all have gotten ready for an event, not to mention New York Fashion Week. Although I keep a pretty good morning and nighttime skin routine, there’s nothing like an intense workout that whips my face into shape. No, I’m not talking about Equinox or a class at SoulCycle, although those are on my NYFW “Get Ready” boot camp schedule in the days leading to fashion week too.

The workout in question is geared directly at the 40 muscles from the neck up and is appropriately named, FaceGym. A workout just for your face? Yes, it’s a thing, and it gets intense — which equally means you see results immediately. Dubbed the “world’s first workout for your face,” the fitness studio is one of my most kept beauty secrets to get photo opt ready. Bella Hadid, Meghan Markle, and the queen of feeling “Good As Hell” Lizzo also frequent the fitness studio to maintain a fresh, youthful look ahead of public appearances.

I discovered the magic that is FaceGym from a friend a year ago, and ever since then, I’ve been hooked — and now I’m here to share the experience with you. Out of the vast array of sessions, the 45 minute signature sculpt is the way to go, especially if you’re new to the workout. The process is simple, your trainer starts with a 10-minute consultation, and then you sit back and relax… err, I mean get right into the workout. Sweatband and all, the exercise begins by stimulating circulation in the face. The trainer then moves into lymphatic drainage and non-invasive lifting, which enhances the natural tone and contour of the face.

The products and devices used are FaceGyms’ very own performance skincare products to help you reach your goals and leave you with glowing, radiant skin. The standout tool (which is available online if you want to continue your workout at home) is the Pure Life Face toning device. Similar to an ab stimulator for the body, the device activates and elevates your facial muscles by using electrical impulses (yes, your face will twitching uncontrollably at this point, but you get used to it). The results from the device are quite literally insane. Insert photo of before and after:
